3 Good Things Thursday returns…

Every Thursday, or Friday or Saturday, or whenever the spirit moves me, I share three good things from today, in the past week, and/or in the week or weeks to come, to focus on what is good. I encourage you to share in the comments your three good things too, if you want. I was introduced to thinking on three good things for the week by Deb Nance of the blog Readerbuzz who lists hers every Sunday on her blog.

It’s been a while since I have done this. But after a recent email conversation with the aforementioned Deb and something good happening today, I thought I’d reinstitute this meme on my blog.

That’s the first thing from this past week (and last couple of weeks) as I reconnected with Deb, whom I consider a good blogging friend. She and I met, I think, initially through The Sunday Salon, of which she also is the host on her blog. She invited me to take part in an online meditation group, which I did for a short time. Thank you, Deb, for reminding me to be grateful – even when I don’t feel like there is much of anything to be grateful for.

It actually hasn’t happened yet as Bill once sang:

But the thing that will happen is after a couple of months, I’m finally getting my broken recliner fixed on Tuesday. Initially, the repairman came in mid-June, but was unable to finish the work because he discovered another broken part. Finally, that piece has come in and will be installed on Tuesday…and at minimal cost. Shout out to our local company, Beiter’s.

It also comes just in time as I am starting physical therapy on Wednesday afternoon for my left knee that is out of alignment and has weak muscles around the kneecap. So I will be able to adjust the recliner for my (already) sore leg, but that will be on its way to being repaired (the hope, the prayer) through exercises – and not just medication.

I was intrigued when I first saw the trailer for this movie (warning: language).

So the other night, I watched it…and it was great. I then “forced” my wife to watch it and surprisingly, unlike Everything Everywhere All At Once (which I loved but she hated), she liked it too.

“It was better than I expected. They had something important to say and it was inventive how they said it.”

So tell me something good, even one good thing from today, this past week, or coming up.

That movie looks crazy! Glad you liked it. My daughter is visiting for a month (that’s a very good thing). She’s baking bread, we’re hanging out, and she’s working on her dissertation.
