Pancakes, Mexican and Chinese food

Every Thursday, I share three good things from today, in the past week, and/or in the week or weeks to come, to focus on what is good. I encourage you to share in the comments your three good things too, if you want. I was introduced to thinking on three good things for the week by Deb Nance of the blog Readerbuzz who lists hers every Sunday on her blog.

Today

My wife Kim made blueberry pancakes this morning:

This past week

On Saturday, we got out of town, the county, and the state! We went to a Mexican restaurant about an hour away from us in neighboring New York State, and it was lovely.

The week(end) to come

I’m off for four days, starting tomorrow. After being off yesterday and today, Kim has to work all weekend. But we both will be having Chinese takeout, which usually lasts for the weekend. Sorry, no picture.

  1. That Mexican meal is fire. Looks so delish. So glad you got away. I have Monday off for the holiday and I am taking Friday, 9/5 as a vacation day because it’s my bday and I will be damned if I am forced to work that day. NOPE. Going to lunch with friends.

I am thoroughly enjoying my three-day weekend (and the temps are up in the 80s, a bit hot for me, but lovely and sunny). I’ve been reading a ton, went to an exhibit with my mother, and I have dinner with a friend tonight. It’s all good.

    1. Sorry for the late response. Our temps are in high 70s and low 80s for the coming week to end summer. Glad you had a good three-day weekend.
