Phoning it in

Every Thursday, I share three good things from today, in the past week, and/or in the week or weeks to come, to focus on what is good. I encourage you to share in the comments your three good things too, if you want. I was introduced to thinking on three good things for the week by Deb Nance of the blog Readerbuzz who lists hers every Sunday on her blog.

Yep, I’m phoning this one in, because…summer?

Number one, thanks to blood pressure medication, my blood pressure is staying low. In anticipation of a doctor’s appointment at the beginning of August, I restarted taking my blood pressure regularly and have been pleasantly surprised that my numbers are good. So there will be good things to report to the doctor in August.

Number two, Kim and I were invited to the neighbors for a 4th of July picnic. It was good to get out of the house and visit with the neighbors. It also was good to have burgers and hot dogs, but of course.

Number three, because our library director is going on vacation, we already have our August schedule and I have several days off in a row at the beginning of the month. So I have something to look forward to. My schedule is shifting a little too in that I won’t be working as many Fridays, but I admit I won’t miss. It is a part-time job, but every little bit helps.

  1. Enjoy your time off. It’s nice to be able to plan for the month at the beginning.

I have my annual doctor appointment Tuesday and have all excellent blood test results to I’ll name that as a good thing. My cholesterol dropped 50 points!

Today I got to see 4 old-time friends, which is always uplifting.

I finished a graphic novel. I haven’t read one in a while so that was good.
